Our customer felt the brunt of an outdated and congested wireless topology used by employees and guests. Their IT teams withstood the challenge of maintaining complicated wireless device configurations to enable their warehouse teams and engineers to work effectively in challenging and unique environments.
OUR PROPOSAL
Bridge IT Consulting’s team of skilled Network Engineers curated a simplified network design to represent the overall operation of our customer’s wireless topology. Our network design model included intelligent planning and automation, stable and efficient wireless connectivity for employees and guests, and reduced device and access management overhead for IT.
EXECUTION OF THE PROJECT
Integrating with a NAC enabled us to create role-based access for 802.1x wireless clients. Overall wireless performance drastically improved,and security was introduced by integrating a formal guest registration process through a captive portal and guest management system. Also, our wireless deployment solution allowed our customer to reduce their total number of SSIDs from multiple SSIDs to only 2, which was a big win for their IT team.
IT Leadership was pleased to advance their security posture while offering better performance and manageability of their global wireless network for employees and guests.
